Kuhne electronic offers a selection of bi-directional amplifiers BDAs used for extending the coverage of high speed data links. Frequencies will be in either ISM-band 2400 to 2500 MHz or in the licensed bands 2300 MHz and up to 2700 MHz. Special circuitry guarantees efficient and safe ( e.g. circulator ) operation in respective frequency bands. Customized versions in other frequency bands are available on request. Bi-directional amplifiers are amongst others used in UAV and UGV applications, mesh network topologies, COFDM systems as well as DVB-T and DVB-S platforms. With a P1dB output power rating of min. 20 Watts, a NF of typ 1.7 dB, a RX gain of typ. 18 dB and its excellent linearity it aims for widespread applications. Switching between transmit and receive will be either done automatically ( triggered by input signal level at BDA’s transmit input ) or manually ( triggered by user through an external pin ). Typical switching time in automated mode is 600ns, which can be further reduced in manual trigger mode. Featuring remote biasing will even extend the field of application for this versatile module.
