Kuhne electronic carries a significant selection of off-the-shelf as well as customized low and high power solid state generator solutions in the RF and microwave frequency bands, for both small and large volume levels. Solid state solutions allow better control of frequency and power compared to Magnetron-based solutions. Frequency range is from UHF to X-band with power ratings up to 1kW. Instead of building up your own radio frequency and microwave generator system with signal source, power amplifier, power supply and protection circuitry and all related 19”-mechanics, which might be very cumbersome, our RF and microwave generator modules will neatly find their place in the individual customer application or as a fully customized mounted rack it will be a perfect and cost-efficient replacement for many instruments in your test-setup. We typically go for 3HU or 5 HU systems however are open to other requests as well. Based on our modular architecture approach using mainly components from Kuhne electronic, like power amplifiers and RF or microwave signal source as well as third-party components for additional circuitry ( e.g. circulators ) we are well-known in the industry for adapting our generator modules to customized designs e.g. technical applications requiring high RF power levels range from microwave cooking to the treatment and finishing of materials and surfaces as well as medical appliances and optics, ION implantation and many others. High-power RF and microwave generators will also be needed to test and stress components like filters, couplers, antennas etc. which are needed in mobile system infrastructure. Rack mounted solutions are ready to go with various types of user interfaces like RS-232, USB or LAN connectivity, with the optional possibility to easily & intuitively operate and remotely control the equipment with a GUI ( graphical user interface ). Customer specific user interfaces can be implemented on demand. Module based RF and microwave generator solutions are available with or without heatsinks and fans.
